. . . . . . . . . .

Stop Looking for Drama! I don't think I can even begin to describe the oxymoron of a post I wrote on my Facebook page the other day. It was meant to be positive, to remind people of how to be happy. Ironically, it turned into a drama fest of people bickering about it not being that easy. The point I'm getting to is: stop looking for drama. People are addicted to it and it only feeds the negative feelings inside yourself. Stop doing it. Which also brings me to my next point…
Learn when to Walk Away!  Sometimes we get into arguments or heated discussions gone awry. You could continue the cycling of drama but chances are one person is as stubborn as the next and won't back down. Learn to walk away. There is no point in preaching or trying to explain something to someone who doesn't want to listen or can't see eye to eye. This goes both ways and maybe you don't understand where the other person is coming from either. It's always better to disengage from the drama and take a step back instead. Think for a bit. Just learn when to walk away. It is very valuable.
Do you own Thing!  How many times have you wasted your day trying work around someone else's schedule? Yes, it's fun doing things with people but stop wasting your day on flaky plans. Get out there and do your own thing! Be bold and adventurous and be on your own time frame. No more wasting time! ;)
Commuincate! I live in a very flaky place, people here tend to bail on plans or forget or any other number of excuses. Some people are just like that and I'm sure you can relate. Maybe you're one of those people too. There's nothing wrong with that but communication is key. So learn to speak up and to let people know what you're up to so that they're not possibly wasting their own day waiting for you. ;)
Be Bold!  Eyeing up a cute stranger? Shy to speak to new a friend? Just go for it! I watched a friend of mine yesterday get shy about it and in the end saw her opportunity and took it. I was so proud. :) You don't have anything to lose by being bold! Maybe the person of your interest doesn't reciprocate the same feeling, but who cares? At least you're putting yourself out there and taking a chance! A chance taken is better than a chance lost!
Write a Love Letter to Yourself! This is an awesome gratitude practice that should be done often. Take out a piece of paper (or on your computer) and write out a list of all the things you love about yourself. Remind yourself of how awesome you are and fill the page with positivity and love for yourself. Love for yourself is one of the most important things in life you can ever learn. So fall in love with yourself!
"There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." ~ William Shakespeare. People refuse to believe it a lot of the time but our thoughts truly are everything. Nothing is permanent and nothing is either good or bad. Whatever you want to believe then that will be your reality. Thinking is believing, and believing creates your reality. Choose a positive reality and stop turning something into the negative. You have a choice always always.

Create a Nice Day!!
Much Love from me to you!

{life reflections}

. . . . . . . . . .
{life reflections}
Weekly thoughts and rambles. A glimpse into my mind and world.
These are entries that I might jot down in my Happy Diary; what happens when we put our fingers to the keyboard and allow our thoughts to flow uninhibited. Reflections from the soul.
Reflections of life.

I hope to leave you inspired.
If you want to share your own reflections of the week please leave a link to your "life reflections" entry in the comments for all to find and see.
. . . . . . . . . .

Has it ever been a busy life lately! I can hardly keep up with orders (in a good way ^_^) while also trying to juggle getting ready for this year's market season! Sometimes being self-employed requires more discipline than I seem to have. The free spirit in me perhaps. I think I just maintain the faith that everything works out--because it always does. Reminding myself that there is always enough time for everything that I want to do helps too. When you tell yourself you have enough time then the Universe magically rearranges itself so that there is. Magical! I love the Law of Attraction. I still don't understand how people refuse to follow it sometimes. I mean, I get that it's hard to wrap your mind around at first, but what's the harm in believing it? Especially because it Does work. Granted things don't always happen when we try to manifest them, but there's always a reason, whether it be our own unwillingness to believe or because we're forgetting to immerse ourselves in the whole "make-believe" of things already Being so that they actually Are. If you haven't read "The Secret" or don't know much about the Law of Attraction, I've probably lost you. I'll just skip ahead to some other random thoughts for the day, but I wanted to slur out some Law of Attraction stuff first because, well, that's where my ramble was taking me today.

I've been busy. That's where I was right?

Work is fantastic. I love my job! I need to manifest a little extra time to make sure I'm blogging more though too--I've forgotten a few posts last week (you may or may not have noticed) so I'm trying to be more on it. Especially because there are still articles that I want to take some time to write up and don't want to rush through. I also want to try and blog more about things you all want. And I don't know what you want or don't want unless you tell me. ;) I love getting feedback, good or bad, because it points me in the right direction and gives me material for improvement. That being said, this is still my blog and so I'll still be writing about whatever the hell resonates with my heart. ;)

Life has been busy. Good busy. There is always room for friends and laughs and relaxing. I've been taking part in the 30x30 David Suzuki Challenge as well this month; spending at least 30 minutes outside for 30 days. I'm usually outside for much longer than 30 minutes a day, but there are some days when I'm working hard (and since I work from home) when it seems like an effort to squeeze in that 30 minutes. I'm glad I'm doing it though because it is that push on such days. It's so important to be outside. It's so important to spend outside in the grass or dirt barefoot as well. We are so filled with positive ions (those are the bad ones) from all the electronics around us and from always wearing shoes and being in buildings, that those positive ions don't actually have an exit and so the negative ions can't replenish. When we are barefoot outside then we are grounding ourselves and therefor are able to release those ions. It's good. It's important. And we don't do it enough. You feel instantly better. If you are depressed or if you have a headache or don't feel well, just spend time outside barefoot and you'll better in no time. For real. Like magic! But not… because it's just the way ions are. So my 30x30 challenge has been just as much about being barefoot and grounded as it as been being outside. I love it and I will definitely implement this into my life. Of course it's easier in the warmer months, but at least it's a good place to start.

People are funny. That's where I'm going next today. Emotions, conflicts, and relationships become so entertained, it's hard to tell what you're doing sometimes--or what others are doing for that matter. It's important not to over think things, not to create problems that don't exist. It's the whole reason I wrote the "Tips to Self Care" post because I felt it was an important post to write this week. Negative emotions are plagues to our bodies and minds. Feelings like jealousy, envy, insecurity, anger, all those things, they just don't really have a place in your life. Not a beneficial one anyway. Sadness and anger are good passing waves, they are reactions and feelings from the heart. Things like insecurities, jealousy, and envy are created from the Mind. They do not serve you so it is important to unlearn them. Plus the more you focus on those feelings the more you'll attract things that will make you feel them again (a little more Law of Attraction for you).
Life is beautiful, it is grand, it is full of possibilities, opportunities, and magnificent relationships, but you'll never find those wonderful things if you close yourself off from them.

That's all from me today, I'm off to relax with some tea and take a day to write and draw and work on my Book. :) Hope you're all having a fantastic long weekend and making the most of what's around you and filling yourself up with gratitude!
Much Love!

"There are no ordinary moments." ~Way of the Peaceful Warrior

{this moment} - a Friday ritual. A photo (few) capturing moments from the week. Simple, special, extraordinary moments. Moments I want to pause, savor and remember.

If you're inspired to do the same, leave a link to your 'moment' in the comments for all to find and see.

It's been a busy last couple weeks, but never too busy to stop and enjoy the moment. This week (since I also missed last week's "This Moment" post) I'm deciding to share a couple of my favourite moments lately. I deem this, a Collection of Awesome Moments! ;)

☺ Steps to Self Care ☺

It's easy to fall apart. It's easy to not love yourself and to feel as if things are always going wrong. It's also easy to fall back into bad habits when things get tough. If you want to be happy, to feel good every single day, then here is your guide to Self-Care:

Stop Worrying. Stop over thinking so much or you'll create problems that aren't even there. Don't think, don't wonder, don't imagine, don't obsess. Just breathe and have faith that everything will work out for the best. If you do this then it will. Most of our problems are created by our own minds, so learn to let go, allow things to pass, and stay positive and focussed on the joy of the moment. It won't steer you wrong.

Stop Complaining. Complaining is our worse habit. Break it. It attracts more and more negative things and keeps you in the cycle of unhappiness and stress. Every time you catch yourself complaining replace those words with ones of positivity. Choose to talk more about your joys. Choose to talk about the things you're grateful for. Talk about the things that enrich your life. As a general rule; for every complaint, list ten things you're grateful for instead.

Your value doesn't decrease based on someone's inability to see your worth. You are an amazing person! Stop being concerned about whether or not you are living up to someone else's expectations. Your value is not based on anyone else's thoughts or opinions, it is based on how You see yourself. So Embrace your uniqueness, your loveliness, your abilities and talents. Be Happy with yourself inside and out. In the end only your own opinion of yourself is what matters, so make it positive and love yourself and be the person you want to be. Appreciate yourself and your path will be lighter.

Love Who You are. And accept that you are worthy of all goods things. Insecurities are perhaps our biggest downfall. They make us feel unworthy in relationships. They make us feel insecure in our jobs, our lives, our actions. They make us feel uncomfortable simply by being ourselves and living in our own skin. Drop those fears, insecurities and feelings of self worth. You Are Worthy! You are brilliant! You are amazing! Remind yourself every single day that you are worthy of good things, that you are fantastic, that people love you and want to be around you. Make it your daily mantra. Fall in love with yourself. Write down every day things you love about yourself. Focus on love for yourself every single day, every single minute. Learn to love yourself and others will too.

Be Yourself. There is no wrong or right way of being yourself. You are You. Uniquely, wonderfully you. You have amazing qualities, abilities, and talents unique to you. There are so many different qualities people can have, and you are a vessel of your own combination of these qualities that makes you uniquely you. You may be completely different than one person and then share interests with another. Discover yourself. Be Yourself and never be ashamed of whatever that might be. Because when you learn to be yourself you will attract other like-minded people and your relationships will become more fulfilling and real.

Live Your Life. Your life is your own. Your own beautifully unique and fantastic life that no one else can decide for you. We are all different and what is right for one person may not be right for another; so stop allowing someone else's opinions dictate Your Life. Don't worry about what people think. Don't concern yourself with what other people are doing. There is no "right" way, there is only your own way because it is Your Life. You don't need to follow the flock, you should be setting yourself free and following your own passions. Chase your own dreams, live your own life.

Don't be afraid of Failure. Make mistakes, embrace failures. If you never try you'll never know, you'll never learn, and you'll never grow. Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone. So stop trying to avoid making such mistakes or you'll risk missing out on your own potential and your own life. Own your mistakes, chase your mistakes, learn and grow from your mistakes. And try try again.

Face your Troubles. When we run from our problems, they consume us, they chase us, they become embedded incessantly in our minds never to let go. When we stand up and face our troubles then we place ourselves in the position to overcome, learn from, and move on from those problems. No more hiding or running; Stand up and face them.

Let go of what you Can't Control. Often we are people pleasers. We want to make everything okay. We throw ourselves into the middle of some pretty bad situations because we think we can help or change a person. I'm not saying helping people is bad, in fact it's great. But what is bad is disregarding your own self care. You can't change people, they have to want to change themselves. And you can't control everything and certainly not certain situations. The best way to help is to be happy and calm and accept when you can or cannot help. And when you cannot help then learn to take a step back and let go instead of carrying that weight with you.

Avoid Drama and Negativity as much as Possible. Again, stop throwing yourself into the middle of some ordeal. Often we do this because it's actually a subconscious addiction, an old habit in which we feel the need to self harm due to habit and lack of self-worth. So, again, you cannot change or control people. Surrounding yourself with such drama or negativity doesn't help them and it doesn't help you. It's more than okay to step away. Just be happy, be yourself, keep smiling and you'll help them in the biggest way by being an inspiration for them to strive for.

Undo Self Harm. Many people have self-destructive habits we turn to when things get tough. Some people drink, some do drugs, others have eating disorders, others cut themselves or inflict self harm. These are all negative qualities that we turn to when we are down. They become habit. It isn't usually as simple as just stopping, and in thinking so we usually get down on ourselves when we can't "just stop." Recognize the self-destructive habit and then pay attention to what things trigger it. The only way to overcome it is to conquer it, to work through the issues that make you turn to it. Just remember; you cannot fully love yourself (and therefor fully be happy) if you continue to harm yourself, as this is simply not a loving act. Learn to love yourself and you will never want to harm yourself again.

Trust Your Heart. If something feels wrong, don't do it. If something doesn't resonate with you, don't do it. If you get negative yucky vibes from someone, don't be around that person. Your heart knows things your head can't always understand. Learn to trust your instincts and listen to your feelings. Trust and follow your heart.

Depend on Yourself for Happiness. Your happiness is not dependent on others. Your happiness isn't by chance, it's a choice you have to make. Others cannot make you happy. Things cannot make you happy. They may contribute to momentary joy, but not to everlasting happiness. You are the master of your fate. You are the decider. You must choose to wake up every day with a smile, to see the good, to seek the positive, and to embrace the joys of your own being and your own life. Happiness is within your grasp. You decide.

Own your life, own your actions, your words, your beautiful personality. Stay Positive and keep learning and growing and self-discovering.

Much Love!
