HandMade Pledge & Attack of the Craft...

I talk about so many different topics on this blog and one that has been lacking a bit of attention lately is the crafty fun that goes on in my life and all around me. When it comes to all the materialism and consumerism in our world there is only one place that I feel at the up-most comfortable making purchases from, and that is Hand-Made.
Not only is buying handmade a sure way to make sure you're buying ethical fair-trade products, but you also get that special care, skill and craftsmanship that you just don't see in mega corporations and "brand" name products. When you buy handmade you are receiving something beautiful, one of a kind, made by hand with care and attention by a wonderful individual with a love for crafting and for creating. You are also supporting an individual directly instead of some heartless corporation with deep greedy pockets. It is environmentally more sound, getting away from large-scale manufacturing and the effects of mass production that pollute our air, soil, and waterways. It is meaningful and fabulous, getting back to individuality and conforming to all look the same.
Hand-made is the ethical choice. It is the sensible choice. It is the right choice.

And speaking of hand-made, there is one place in particular that I simply must share with the world. That place is Attack of the Craft
When I first began sewing it didn't take long before I discovered this wonderful place--back then under a different name and forum but with the same amazing people that Attack of the Craft has today. I am a quirky and unique individual (if you haven't noticed already) and so I wasn't drawn to any other place but this one. Why? Because it IS fun, unique, quirky, and full of laughter--and amazing craftiness of course. Attack of the Craft goes beyond just an informative forum to find out crafting tips, help and questions. It is a place full of wonderful individuals with amazing talents, big hearts, and amazing personalities. It is a Family. A lovely great big family. I have met so many fabulous and inspiring people through AOTC that I simply don't know what I would do without. People look out for one another there. They care about each other. In every way possible, it is so much more than just a forum. And it is a great place to add some laughter and fun to your day. And, of course, a fabulous place to discover amazing crafty talents of all sorts possible. They even have a shop right on the forum and links to the other amazing shops and selling venues. I am so happy to be a part of the CraftAnon Team, it is a true honor to be a part of such amazing talent and fabulous people.

So, what are you waiting for? Go check out Attack of the Craft today!! And take the hand-made pledge as well! ;)

Peace & Love,

  1. It's true that AOTC is more a family than just a how-to forum. I was mildly interested in hand-made for the one-of-a-kind aspect, but getting to know people (yourself included) who were so passionate and made hand-made and eco living their entire lives...well, it brings home the message that it's way more than just about fashion or being different. It's choosing a NICER way of life.

  2. Meeting so many amazing people and crafters totally sparked my passion for buying handmade, and I'm so glad I did, not looking back!

And of course, meeting you is another inspiration! ;)
