☺ Motivational Mondays! ☺

 We're taking back Mondays!!!

"Motivational Mondays" are fabulous tips to get you excited and pumped for the week!
Feeling low? Moody? Down on life? Well, that's what these posts are for! Time to feel awesome again and get some Positivity rolling! Just because it's Monday doesn't mean you can't have fun, smile, and enjoy Today! Apply these tips to your week and try to tell me that you don't start to see an improvement in your life! ;)
It's all about You! Change your perception, change your attitude, love your life! xo

Appreciation Day! Dedicate one day this week to verbally express at least one thing of appreciation to every person you encounter. The more people you see the better, so get out there and spread some positivity! This practice is not only good for others, but it is great for You, because appreciation is a form of gratitude and gratitude is the best way to manifest good things. Pay attention to how you feel at the start of the day and then extra attention to how great you feel by the end of the day. Try to do this practice every week, choose one day and make it your appreciation day! :)
Go on an Adventure! Hit up the beach, go on a mini road trip, do something spontaneous, maybe something you've never done before! Even if it's just exploring a part of town or somewhere close to where you live that you've never been, get out there and have some fun!
Use Pinterest…  To create your Vision Board! The concept of the "Vision Board" is used for Manifesting all your desires and making them a reality! Pinterest is just such a great tool, especially in today's day and age of technology and online everything. You can create different boards for different topics, for example… your dream home could be one board, materials things another, relationships another, travel another, and so forth. It's a great way to get your imagination rolling and have your desires visually presented to you. It's like a grocery list to the Universe. Take time every day to look at it and say "thank you" for all those things you're ordering from the Universe!
Be Happy for Others! Jealousy and envy do not serve you. Focussing on these negative emotions puts attention on You not having something, which will bring about More of you Not having whatever it is your jealous or envious of. On top of that, it's just plain selfish (and not the good kind of selfish I usually talk about). Be Happy for other people like you should be! The happier and more supportive you can be for another person the more good vibes you're putting out into the universe and the more you'll bring back to both the other person AND yourself. There is more than enough to go around for everyone! So drop the jealous act and learn to be happy for them.
Make "Love Stones"!  Find some pretty rocks and decorate them with hearts and "I Love You" letters. Then, leave them all over town for people to find them. Bring a smile to someones day, shine some light into another's life, and bring on the love!
Work on one of your fears. Everyone has fears, whether it's something little or big. Take time this week to work on at least starting to get over those fears, even if it's just a baby step. For instance, I am terrified of water (I mean I won't go in water deeper than I can stand--I'm a terrible swimmer and I also am just plain unrealistically afraid of drowning), But, this weekend I went boating with some friends and it took some convincing but me and a friend went tubing as well. It was slower and we made sure our driver was being nice, but we did it and it was fun and felt good to get over the first little bump. Again, even if it is just a baby step. ;)
"Get out of your head and get into your heart. Think less, feel more." ~Osho. Yes indeed! We tend to over think a lot instead of just listening to and trusting our hearts. So learn to feel and be self intuitive. Have faith in the Universe. Trust yourself.

Have a beautiful day, week, life! Much Love from me to you!
Create a Nice Day! xo

Ⓥ Yeast-Free Spelt Crust Ⓥ

So people have been bugging me for this recipe and I am just finally now posting this--finally! ;) Anyways, this was my husband's creation so all credit goes to him. It's super simple and easy to make and you can add any spices you'd like to add a little extra flavour. It rises just fine, while still being a thin crust it's really quite fluffy and I forget that we don't even use yeast--we haven't in years and don't miss it or need it. ;)
This crust is vegan, yeast-free, and wheat-free (but not gluten-free).
Anyway, recipe ago!

Yeast-Free Spelt Crust
2 cups Spelt Flour
1 cup Water
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
spices (optional, oregano, basil, cumin are fantastic)
Combine all the dry ingredients together in a medium-sized mixing bowl and mix well. Slowly add the water until you get a nice doughy consistency, not too runny and not too thick. If you accidentally add too much water then you can always add more flour, no biggie. ;)
Makes 1 crust.

Top with all your favourite pizza toppings, sauce, and vegan cheese! Bake in the oven at 350℉ for about 20-30 minutes, until the bottom is slightly browned and your toppings have cooked. Voila! Yeast-free pizza crust!

☺ Lessons from Albert Einstein ☺

So I saw this from my lovely sister who shared a fellow blogger's post on Facebook, such a blogger who'd posted it after seeing someone else's blog post, who saw someone else's blogpost, who'd… well, taken inspiration from the brilliant Albert Einstein. I decided to share this myself as well, and add a couple more lessons he was so brilliant to teach.
Before I list off these inspiring life lessons I'd also like to add this: use the man himself as inspiration! What I mean by that is that Albert Einstein challenged our way of thinking, he challenged different ideas, concepts, and was utterly brilliant. He wasn't afraid to be different, to challenge the norm, or to just go for it. So be adventurous and do what feels right instead of following the "norm" of today's society. Because, let's face it, there is plenty wrong with today's society that is worth challenging and doing it yourself.

Now, on to Life Lessons from Albert Einstein:

1. Follow Your Curiosity: “I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious.”

2. Perseverance is Priceless: “It’s not that I’m so smart; it’s just that I stay with problems longer.”

3. Focus on the Present: “Any man who can drive safely while kissing a pretty girl is simply not giving the kiss the attention it deserves.”

4. Imagination is Powerful: “Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions. Imagination is more important than knowledge.”

5. Make Mistakes: “A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.”

6. Live in the Moment: “I never think of the future – it comes soon enough.”

7. Create Value: “Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value.”

8. Don’t Be Repetitive: “Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

9. Knowledge Comes From Experience: “Information is not knowledge. The only source of knowledge is experience.”

10. Learn the Rules and Then Play Better: “You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.”

11. Become a Vegetarian: "Nothing will benefit human health and increase chances of survival for life on earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet."

12. Widening our circle of Compassion: "Our task must be to free ourselves . . . by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty."

Do you have any other favourite Albert Einstein quotes? :)

Change your perception, change your attitude, love your life! xo

BE!  This week is a BE week! Change starts with ourselves, by choosing to Be all that we want to Be. So… Be amazing, Be Happy, Be Positive, Be Smiley, Be Awesome, Be Loving, Be Caring, Be Honest, Be Spontaneous, Be Supportive, Be All that You can Be! :)
Be Adventurous! And spontaneous, because this is always always always a good reminder and a good way to live life. You know, playing the "Yes" game. I like to throw in this challenge every so often because it keeps life interesting and you almost always end up having a super fantastic week! So be adventurous and be open to the fun of the world around you!
Be Clear!!! If you're upset about something, don't be passive or play the guilt-card on others, just be up front and super duper honest and clear about how you're feeling. Being passive aggressive gets you, nor those involved, anywhere and only creates a negative cloud. Communicate! I can't say it enough. And I feel like I have some good experience with this seeings as I've been with my hubby for eight years and we are always able to see eye-to-eye and work through things. Honesty equals resolve, silence (and the passive gestures and attitudes that come along with that) get you into a deeper negative state. So be Clear!
Be Smiley! Wear the biggest friendliest Smile and see what happens! People might think you're crazy, but they're just jealous, and you're guaranteed to feel awesome and attract positivity into your day. Smile at people like you've known them your whole life. It's an amazing feeling to spread that love and joy and receive smiles in return.
Be Brave! BRAVERY: thinking outside of the box! To listen intuitively to yourself, to trust yourself beyond trusting what others tell you and then to go with it instead of following the norm of society. For allowing yourself the courage to be taken a new direction, a new path, that could potentially change and shift the train of thought of the world. BE BRAVE!
Be Yourself!!! And ROAAARRRR! Be the lovely person that you are and don't be afraid to use your voice, express yourself, and stand out in the crowd! Or be still in a crowd. The point is that we are individuals with different ideals and views and souls. And that's a damn lovely thing! So no matter who you are, be comfortable be yourself and always let your soul shine and your voice… well, Roaaaar! ;)
"Be like little children and Make-Believe." Use this quote and apply it every day to your manifesting. Remember that the power of your thoughts will draw what you think about to you. The more you believe the more instant whatever it is you want will become reality. So make-believe to make it real! :)

Have a beautiful day, week, life! Much Love from me to you! And don't forget to Beeeeee! ;)
Create a Nice Day! xo

Ⓥ Garlic Scape Pesto Ⓥ

Having a garden is all sorts of fun! One reason? Garlic scapes! You can get them at grocery stores too I imagine, I've just never noticed them. Anyway, we found out that we could make pesto out of them so I looked online for recipes and modified, combined, and made my own.
It's perfect for pastas, quesadillas, pizza, sandwiches, even for dipping, or whatever else your imagination can come up with.

Garlic Scape Pesto!

(Parmesan Cheese part)
1 cup Sesame Seeds
2 Tbsp Nutritional Yeast
2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
1 Tbsp Water
1/2 tsp Salt
Process all the sesame seeds, nutritional yeast, and salt in a food processor. Add the lemon juice and water once the sesame seeds start to mush together and continue to process until you get a smooth sort of "paste" consistency, or until smooth--this takes a while so be patient. ;)
Set aside in a bowl.

(complete pesto!)
3 Garlic Scapes
"Parmesan Cheese" (above)
2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
1/4 cup Olive Oil
2 handfuls of Spinach
Process the garlic scapes, spinach, and lemon juice until fine--you don't need to clean out your food processor from making the "parmesan cheese", silly. ;) Add the "cheese" mixture a few portions at a time, alternating with the olive oil. Process until smooth or desired consistency is reached. You may want to add more salt if desired as well.
Make approximately 1.5-2 cups.

Again, goes great with so many different recipes so play around with it! Enjoy! :)

☆ Green Tip: Natural Cleaning Solutions! ☆

No one should want to or have to breathe in nasty chemicals from their home cleaners, but sadly most of us do. While you may feel like you're cleaning away dirt, stains, and muck, you're also spreading countless toxic chemicals through your home with those commercial cleaners. Not to mention the effect those have on the environment. If you have pets or children then that's another concern for their little systems. Many of those chemicals stay in our systems as well. Some are carcinogenic, others cause allergic reactions, reproductive problems, asthma and breathing problems, and a whole slew of other health problems. And don't even get me started on those those anti-bacterial cleaners and hand washes! (I'll rant and explain about those in another post ;p)
So what to do? There are plenty of eco-friendly natural cleaners on the markets, though you should still be reading labels as not all are really that great for you either and many companies like to up their "organic" level with water. Sad I know, but it's true. So be weary of greenwashing and always read labels.
If you don't want to fork up the money on eco cleaners then there are plenty of alternatives you can make using ingredients you likely already have in your home. Affordable and convenient? Win win!

White vinegar
White vinegar is a superhero amongst natural cleaning products. It can replace most of the products you might use now, not to mention it's safe, completely natural, and cheap cheap cheap! If you're concerned about the smell, fear not, it disappears when it dries, if you still don't like the smell then add your favourite essential oils for a lovely aroma.
  • As an all-purpose kitchen cleaner for counters and floors, mix 1 part white vinegar with 1 part water in a spray bottle.
  • Prevent oven buildup and shower mildew by wiping down surfaces with a cloth and vinegar.
  • Use as a natural fabric softener by adding 1/2 cup to the rinse cycle of your wash!
  • Get rid of rings in your toilet bowl by using pure vinegar.
  • Clean windows by mixing 1 part vinegar with 4 parts water in a spray bottle.

Lemon!
The acid in lemons is a great degreaser and cleaner, making this little lemon a cheap and powerful natural way to clean your home.
  • As a degreaser in the Kitchen: use the rind to to scrub your pots and pans, and add the juice of a lemon to your favorite dishwashing liquid to make it even more effective.
  • Combat odors and stains: fill a spray bottle with 1 part lemon juice and 1 part water. Mist countertops and cutting boards, wait a minute or two for the mixture to work its magic then wipe away.
  • When you're done, toss the lemon rind down the garbage disposal to fill the whole room with its uplifting aroma.
  • Brighten your white without bleach in the Laundry Room: It may not be able to get out super strong stains like wine or grass stains, but for a normal wash of whites it will get the brightness back with a long soak in the hot water and lemon juice.
  • In the Bathroom: the low pH of lemons make it naturally antibacterial. Add 1/2 cup of lemon juice to your toilet bowl and let it soak for ten minutes, then flush away the germs.
  • For mold and mildew: use the acidity of a lemon spray. It's also great at breaking up mineral deposits on the shower door.

Baking Soda!
Who doesn't have baking soda already at home? It works great for stubborn things like cleaning your grill and removing coffee or tea stains. It also works to spot treat wallpaper, books, and porcelain. So what else can it clean?

  • Sprinkle baking soda on a damp cloth, wipe and rinse with clean water to use on countertops, tiles and other surfaces.
  • Clean away burnt food from pots and pans by soaking the pot or pan overnight with a scoop of baking soda in hot water; the burnt food will come off easily.
  • To remove stains (from most surfaces) use baking soda paste (3 parts baking soda, one part water), apply and leave on overnight, then scrub or wipe clean.
  • Sprinkle your carpets with baking soda to remove nasty odors. Let stand for at least fifteen minutes and vacuum!

Salt!
Another easy to find item already at home and works fantastic to remove spills and stains!
  • Remove blood and wine stains overnight by soaking in cold water and salt.
  • Remove burnt food from pots and pans by adding salt immediately to help the burnt material come off easier.
  • Clean your coffee pot by adding 2-3 tablespoons of salt to the pot and bring to a boil.
  • In the bathroom, restore white enamel on sinks, bathtubs, or toilets by making a paste of turpentine mixed with salt. Apply the paste and let sit 15 minutes, then wipe with a damp sponge.
  • Unclog a sink by mixing ½ cup salt, ½ cup baking soda, and ¼ cup cream of tartar and pour into drain. Then pour a kettle of boiling water and let sit at least two hours, then run water to clear out.

Hydrogen Peroxide
Sometimes an old-school cleaner like hydrogen peroxide is the best turn-to alternative instead of nasty bleach and bleach-based products that are also loaded with other chemicals. Hydrogen peroxide is fantastic for it's non-toxic antibacterial, fungal, mold, and mildew properties, making it great for cleaning cuts and wounds, but also a fantastic all-purpose cleaner!
All you need is a bottle of hydrogen peroxide (3% should do), a spray nozzle and you're good to go!
  • Remove stains by spraying directly on stain and allow to dry. Repeat if stain is still visible. For blood stains, apply directly on stain and allow to sit for 1 minute. Rub, then rinse with cold water.
  • Another alternative for cleaning tubs and tiles. Simple spray with a layer of hydrogen peroxide, followed by a layer of vinegar and scrub away!

What are your favourite go-to home cleaners? Or what genuinely eco brands do you use instead?

☺ Being Grateful when Disaster Hits ☺

(watching the storm)

So, this is a personal experience that happened over the past few days that really gave me the chance to practice gratitude when disaster comes along. We've had some insane weather lately, tons of rain, the most rain June has had in 40 years (and we doubled that record!). Our lake is super high and there has been flooding down at the parks near our place (by the lake).
A couple days ago, we got a ridiculous downpour of rain resulting in a flash flood. So, here are some funny things… I was out with a friend at the time at our favourite smoothie place (Grasshopper), enjoying our smoothies and watching the rain and thunderstorm. It was kind of exciting and refreshing despite the craziness. Water was streaming down the stairs that lead up to the place, water was filling up on the grass (see photos), and a bit of water somehow got into the place that the amazing owners have to mop up to their drain. Perhaps at this point I should have clued in to maybe go home and check on our place, but to be honest I just didn't think of it. As I said, we've had crazy amounts of rain lately and so far this didn't strike me as any more alarming.

(rain at grasshopper)

However, what I missed was the little river that flooded downtown a few blocks down, that swept into businesses and almost carried a car down the street (we live on the side of a mountain, it's all hills here! If it weren't for some good samaritans that came rushing to push the car then it would have swept down several blocks, maybe to the lake). I missed a few calls and finally noticed a text from a friend that said "Cory want to know if you're alive." So I called Cory at work and he told me that apparently our street had three feet of water down it and that I might want to go home and check on our place.

(manhole and burst pipe up the road.)

I hurried home. It was a disaster. The moment I stepped out of the car I knew it was bad. A drain hole was pouring out water onto the highway and a crew was working to stop it. Up the street was a massive manhole that had caved in, broke a pipe and resulted in the reported three feet of water that had washed down our street. When I stepped out of the car, there was debris everywhere and thick mud and some water down our steps and walkway leading to our place. When I opened the door I was greeted by more mud and water. It was a little pool that led halfway into our living room, down the hall, and halfway into the bedroom. Just thick brown slush. Our cats were terrified, but safe, and likely glad that I came home. I honestly don't remember what slew of swearwords came out when I saw our place, I think I was more shocked than anything.

(The walkway into our place.-- This is what it looked like inside--it's been cleaned in the photos ;p)

Cory came home and we spent the rest of the afternoon and well into the evening cleaning. And that was just upstairs. It wasn't until Cory came home that we realized there was still three feet of water around the back of our place, making it so that we couldn't get into our basement to see what damage was done there. We had to ask the city workers to come pump the water out which took several hours before we could even get into the basement.
I was honestly quite calm during most of this. Admittedly, I wasn't sure where to start when I first came in, I mean what the hell do you do with water and mud?? Fortunately it didn't do toooo much damage upstairs and we had it cleaned by the late evening. Our friend Ryan came to help too--he's an electrician so he was able to tell us if we could or couldn't go down to the basement (once we could actually get to it) without getting electrocuted. Cory and Ryan went down first. It was a disaster. About three feet of water was inside, a set of drawers had tipped over, a washer, and all sorts of boxes and things were floating about. When he told me the mess down there and the uncertainty of what was damaged (I still had my expensive silkscreening inks down there and I was praying all my screens were safe). At this point (after cleaning mud and water from our place for five hours) the stress and upset feelings were setting in. I almost cried when I didn't know what was going to happen to the supplies for my business that I've invested several hundreds of dollars into. But I just kept on putting along.

(aftermath in the basement)
Later, Cory rescued my screens when he was able to--which fortunately were just a little wet (one had a little mud). And eventually the city workers were able to get a pump long enough to start draining the water out of the basement. Even once they had there was still water left behind and let me tell you, it looked like a hurricane had ravaged the place. Pallets and boxes were all over the place, thick mud caking everything.
Finally, the night calmed and we had to take some time to just chill out. I was debating whether or not I was still going to be doing the downtown market the next morning (which thankfully I did).

(water still pouring out onto the streets)

The Lesson:
I vented on Facebook. And this is the long-winded point that I'm trying to get to… sorry to give you such a long story. ;)
I felt that I NEEDED to vent. So I did:
yayyy for sporadic flash floods. yayy for flooded home. yayy for flooded basement :P I know I know, I don't usually complain or have anything negative to say, I think I'm allowed just this once ;p

However, I know how the law of attraction works, I know that venting is dangerous and can lead to more bad things, which is why I just never ever do it. So here is the lesson… if you're going to vent, counteract it immediately!!!
I did:

I am grateful that none of our valuables got damaged. I'm grateful our cats our safe. I'm grateful we're safe. I'm grateful we managed to get the place cleaned up upstairs and that it wasn't tooo bad. I'm grateful that Ryan came and helped us out. I'm grateful my silkscreens are okay and my inks. I'm grateful for Cory (just because that's worth mentioning). I'm grateful I was out enjoying a smoothie when it happened (instead of being there freaking out and not having a clue what to do ;p). I'm grateful I have a home. I'm grateful to the city of Nelson for draining out the water from our basement. I'm grateful for life.

I wrote down all the things that I was grateful for even during this disastrous flood. I focussed on good positive thoughts and by the end of writing my list I felt sooo much better. And it only took ten minutes.
That's all it takes. Ten minutes to counteract negative thoughts, and you'll feel so much better afterwards and start to attract positive things. I went on to have the most amazing next day at the market, made a ton of money, met amazing people, and just had a fantastic all around day. And things are starting to turn around at home as well, so long as we keep focussing on the positive.
Admittedly I couldn't help ask "why" the flood happened and why we received the disaster. I still don't quite have an answer, but I know that it is out there and will be very clear soon and will make sense. That is the beauty of the law of attraction. There is a reason for everything and the universe is looking out for us. Staying positive is the best thing you can always do. Saying thank you every single day for the things that we have, for the people in our lives, for food, for water, for health, for a home, all ensures we continue to have those things. When we forget to say thank you that's when things can slide. So don't forget the importance of expressing gratitude.
I hope you are all having a magnificent day and, right now you should make a big list of all the things you are grateful for and be sure to say a great big "thank you." :)

Each flavour is bursting with deliciousness, and each flavour is different from the other. Excitement for your tastebuds to be sure. And, again, what's not to love when you know they are healthy and fuelling your body with pure goodness and positive energy, with ingredients like almonds, cashews, dates, dried fruits, spices, natural oils, nuts and cocoa!

In fact, my only complaint is that I do feel perhaps there is a waste of packaging. They are, however, nicely individually wrapped for super easy and convenient on-the-go purposes, for which the company intended. It keeps the product fresh instead of mushing together and easily accessible when you want them.

KUR Delights™ truly are an amazing everyday snack and a heavenly healthy sweet option for those (like myself) that constantly crave sweets. ;)

Check out their website to order yours, or to find a store near you! :)

Change your perception, change your attitude, love your life! xo

Do your Monday Happy Dance!  Yup, you heard me, I don't care where you are right now, I want you to get up and do a little dance. If you're not smiling then you're taking life entirely too seriously. If you're not dancing at all then you're taking yourself too seriously, And you're not taking full advantage of life and spontaneity! So dance already! Don't be shy! If people give you weird looks who cares?… or you can just tell them the computer told you to do it, that usually works. ;) Loosen up and have a giggle!
Allocate You Time! Choose a particular time of the day for "You" time and dedicate that time each day just to yourself. We often forget the importance of time spent alone with ourselves, whether it's enjoying a hobby you love, meditating, doing yoga, reading, or just plain doing nothing. Try to figure out when the best time of the day is and try to stick with that. Maybe on certain days of the week you have an hour of free time in the evenings, maybe on other days it's the morning or right after work. And maybe you don't get in that time Every day, but you should certainly try. Spend time on Joy! Spend time on You!
Remember that Everyone is Kind at the core. Usually the people who are the most obnoxious, who seem the meanest, and seem outwardly distasteful, are the ones that are hurting the most. They lash out upon others and society with their behaviours, which only further disconnects them. Give these people a second chance and choose to only be compassionate and kind towards them--no matter how mean they may be towards you. This doesn't mean you have to surround yourself with such people on a daily basis, but when you do encounter them, choose to be the most loving person you can be. These are the people who are lacking love and compassion in their lives so learn to share what you have to bring out the best in them. Plus, these people may surprise you, for beneath that masked layer is usually a kind soul just waiting to come alive and be nurtured.
Help Others! Extend your kindness to all of those around you today, go out of your way to help others out. Whether it's buying someone coffee, helping someone out with a task or work, or just plain being someone to talk to. Spread some kindness and act selflessly and have the best damn attitude when you do it! Tell yourself you Want to be helping, even if it's doing the dirty dishes for the tenth time. ;) And do it all without complaint and only love!
Make a List of your Intentions…  whether this list of intentions is for just today or for the whole year, make a list. Once you've made your list go over each one and imagine that it's already been completed. Say a big thank you. Continue with your day. Revisit this list throughout the day or a couple times a week if it's a longer period of time. Never be disappointed if something on the list has not been completed, just be grateful and act like it has been.
Use the Power of Positivity…  to transform any situation into a brilliant experience! Keep your good thoughts on a role and maintain that attitude! Remember that you are too positive to be doubtful, too optimistic to be fearful, and too determined to ever be defeated!
"If you don’t like something change it; if you can’t change it, change the way you think about it." ~Mary Engelbreit.

Have a beautiful day, week, life! Much Love from me to you!
Create a Nice Day! xo

Ⓥ Vegan Kitchen: Green Almond Smoothie! Ⓥ

This smoothie is heaven in a cup! A great way to load up on some greens for the day and tastes absolutely delicious, sweet, and creamy. Pure goodness! Since you can't taste the greens I imagine it would be a great way to get little ones to eat their greens as well--but having no little ones to personally try this on, you'll have to be the judge. ;)

Green Almond Smoothie
1 frozen Banana
1 heaped Tbsp Almond Butter (or peanut butter)
1 cup Spinach or Kale (or combination of both)
1 cup Almond Milk
1/2 serving of protein powder (optional)
Add all your ingredients together in a high-speed blender or food processor and blend until smooth and creamy! Add less or more almond milk to get your desired consistency.

Makes 1 smoothie. Enjoy!

Ⓥ Vegan Kitchen: Green Super Smoothie! Ⓥ

Another fantastic way to get an easy serving of greens! This smoothie is super super good for you with super foods and greens! Yayy! Don't worry, you can't taste the greens and the texture is rich, creamy, an explosion of flavours for your mouth. Good good good!

Green Super Smoothie
3/4 cup frozen Blueberries
1/2 Banana
1 Tbsp Chia Seeds
1 Tbsp Hemp Hearts
1/2 cup Water
1 Tbsp Peanut Butter (or other nut butter)
1 cup fresh Greens (Spinach, Kale, or Collards)
1/2 cup Coconut Milk
7 drops Stevia (or a touch of your own sweetener if desired)
1 serving of protein powder*

*I've been using Vegan Proteins+, but I love the taste of stevia ;) I've also used hemp protein before or you can omit the protein powder all together.

Soak the chia and hemp hearts in the 1/2 cup water for at least ten minutes, or overnight. Add all your ingredients together in a high-speed blender or food processor and blend until smooth and creamy! Add less or more coconut milk to get your desired consistency.

Makes 1 smoothie. Enjoy!
