♥ Back Again! ♥

After four months of no entries, I am very pleased to announce the return of the Blog!

Lots of New things will be happening that I am quite excited about. You may have already noticed the name change from "Alter-Eco" to "ReLove Plan.et." This is a whole new approach, goal, and project and I think it deserved an appropriate name change to go along with it. While Alter-Eco Clothing will continue to go by the same name, it is now a project within ReLove Plan.et--which will be encompassing much more as well. So be sure to bookmark the new blog address. The new website will also be launching shortly, which, again, I am rather excited about.
You can still be certain to expect the same Eco-enthusiastic goodness as before, except I will be stepping it up a few notches. I will also be introducing some challenges to get your own Green path started or progressing, and will have some fun incentives. I can't wait to share more about that soon!

For now, I just want to share that I am indeed back. I also wanted to say hello and, for those that didn't already know where I've been for the past several months, update you on all on the fun...

The Hubby and I were on our "honeymoon", so to speak, in which we left our home in Edmonton and took time to travel this wonderful country (Canada). We took three months off and a total of 53 Days on the road, living simply and out of Cory's (the hubby's) car and a $60.00 tent-- that was put through a lot and somehow lasted us. We went from Vancouver, BC, to the furthest point of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Needless to say, we saw a lot!

It has been the most amazing time of my life. I learned more than I could have possibly hoped for and was given the opportunity to apply many lessons and advice that I'd picked up previously. It was truly a chance to just "Be". In the present moment. That is where true, unreasonable Happiness lies. When you are in the "Now" you avoid stress and the unnecessary obsessiveness of the Mind. I highly recommend that everyone do this at some point in their life. It truly is life-changing.
More than anything else, perhaps, was the eye-opening experience that life is best when lived simply. Consumerism, social status, trivial society dilemmas, and all the things that we get lost in in everyday life just didn't matter out on the road. We were happy. We were out in Nature almost every second of every day. We woke up in our little tent to the great outdoors. We breathed fresh air. We sat in the woods and gazed at the trees. We swam in beautiful lakes and got to touch both oceans. We hiked up beautiful trails and got to see amazing views. We just were. In the moment. In Nature. And we truly saw how beautiful life is. And that the only thing that really matters is Happiness. And Happiness cannot be found in this materialistic world we've lost ourselves to.

This change of mind-set prompted our return to our little hometown, instead of another big city, nestled in the lush British Columbia mountains and surrounded by Family. It's kind of funny that we travelled right across the country and realized that out of it all, British Columbia truly is the best place on Earth!
Even though we already had a deep appreciation for Nature, that love has deepened and re-awakened. To be able to just sit in nature, doing nothing but have a smile on your face, is a beautiful gift. And I think if you are able to do this then you know what true happiness is. I am so glad that I know that feeling.

So we are settled back into our little town and feel better than ever. Despite having to give up our three months of being homeless and jobless, we are striving to continue living simply and making Change. Our commitment to helping Mother Earth is greater than ever and our drive to get others on board is equally strong. And, guess what? It's FUN! So, I'm sorry if this first entry sounds a bit too "hippie" for your liking, suck it up and get over it, because if you want to be miserable, that's your calling. I'm Happy. What do you want to be?

Nature and Earth is beautiful and it is your home just as much as it is mine. Enjoy it. Life is not on your TV. Life is outside. And Earth is truly worth saving, and we need to open our eyes and realize that we don't have much time left before it is too late.
