We're taking back Mondays!!!
"Motivational Mondays" are fabulous tips to get you excited and pumped for the week!
Feeling low? Moody? Down on life? Well, that's what these posts are for! Time to feel awesome again and get some Positivity rolling! Just because it's Monday doesn't mean you can't have fun, smile, and enjoy Today! Apply these tips to your week and try to tell me that you don't start to see an improvement in your life! ;)
It's all about You! Change your perception, change your attitude, love your life! xo
☺ Remember to Practice the Lessons that you've learned! As human-beings we learn incredible life-altering lessons along our paths, but these lessons sometimes easily slip out of our consciousness. Bring them back. Spend time each day to focus on important lessons you've learned along your way. Remember to practice these lessons daily, keep them alive, Live them!
☺ Learn the Truth before you speak… People think they know everything, because they still think that the media is telling them the truth. One of the best pieces of advice I can give is to wake up and learn the truth--especially if you are about to bash someone else for speaking the truth. I understand that people can be hostile when their beliefs are challenged, but that is still no reason for ignorance. Ignorance is not bliss, open your mind and eyes, become educated and aware. This is a great way to grow as a human being. :)
☺ Be aware of your Plastic Footprint! Summer is a time for getting back outside in fresh air and reconnecting with nature. It is also a time for iced drinks, littering, and waste. Remember to bring your own cup when you meet with friends for an iced cappucino-frappucino-what-have-you, and ditch the straws (millions of straws end up in the trash every day!). If you're going to use disposable plates and cutlery for a picnic on the beach or gathering then at least go with compostable ones (and do compost them). Always remember reusable tote bags instead of plastic. And put garbage where it belongs instead of abandoning it in nature. Be aware of your plastic footprint and reduce it to nothing, all it takes is a little effort and some conscious thinking.
☺Be an Observer, Not a Judger… I've talked a few times lately about not judging others, and one thing I've been thinking a lot about is that we can't help but notice people's behaviours and characteristics. But there is a difference between observing and judging. We learn a lot from others, whether it's from their "good" traits or "bad" traits, and these are great tools for us to grow by. But be weary of when you are judging and simply observing without tainted thoughts of criticism or negativity. Always be open to loving kindness, abandon judgement and simply observe--with loving kindness.
☺ Take every opportunity to do something Silly! If it's raining, dance in it. If it's sunny, play in it. If you encounter a puddle, jump in it. If you see a swing set, go for a swing! If you're waiting in a line-up, start dancing. Encounter a stranger, talk to them. Take absolutely every opportunity this week to just go for it and have fun with child-like bliss.
☺ Feeling sad or depressed? Get the eff outside! (words of advice from a great friend of mine…) Get on a bike, go for a walk! Get out in the fresh air listening to good music (or the sounds of nature), and think about all the good things that have happened and what fun sh*t you're going to do in the future. It works, I promise! ;)
☺ “There is no way to peace; Peace is the Way.
There is no way to happiness; Happiness is the Way.
There is no way to love; Love is the Way.”
~ Dan Millman (Sacred Journey of the Peaceful Warrior)
Remember that your attitude is everything and chasing these things will not lead you to them. When we sit and welcome what we're looking for, that is when we receive and Be these things. So don't chase, just Be the Way.
Have a beautiful day, week, life! Much Love from me to you!
Create a Nice Day! xo
